Project
Rubber Soul Architects, Goa
Rubber Soul Architects is an architecture and design practice based in Goa. Founded in 2013 by Aadil Salim, it began as a small passion project focusing on second homes and evolved into a full-time architectural and interior design studio by around 2017.
The firm’s work stands out for clean minimal forms rooted in context, culture and sustainability. They mix geometry, materials and spatial ideas to produce buildings that feel fresh yet grounded in their place. Their ethos stresses designing spaces that belong to their time and surroundings rather than copying trends.
Projects range from private residences to adaptive commercial spaces, often integrating natural elements and climate-responsive strategies. One notable example is a house built around a split-level courtyard that plays with indoor-outdoor living and sits gently on its sloped Goa site.
Their portfolio reflects a balance of contemporary aesthetics and pragmatic design, with an emphasis on light, ventilation and thoughtful use of materials.
